We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information for marketing purposes. We do not use your sign-in email for marketing unless you separately opt in.
We use Supabase to process account authentication, store quote history and store GIS Map query-text history. Saved records are associated with the signed-in account, and access controls are used so users can access only their own history. Address searches pass through a protected Buildara Supabase Function before being sent to Esri's public geocoding service. While no system is 100% secure, we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
We retain each saved quote and its related calculator inputs, results, custom rates and notes for 12 months from the date it is created. GIS Map query-text history is retained for your account until you clear it in the map or ask us to delete it. We retain account information for as long as needed to provide the Service. You may ask us to delete your account information and saved history; we will delete or de-identify it unless we are required to retain it for a lawful purpose.
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage for functionality (for example, remembering your language preference, sign-in session and tracking choice). With your permission, we also use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to measure visits, traffic-source attribution, calculator activity and GIS Map events such as starting a search or selecting an address. We do not send calculator inputs, results, addresses, coordinates, GIS screening results or financial values to these analytics and advertising services. You may reject optional tracking without affecting tool functionality; you can withdraw consent by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The GIS Map obtains geocoding, maps and public-data results from third-party providers, including Esri, Auckland Council, Watercare, Toitū Te Whenua LINZ, Vector, the New Zealand Ministry of Education / Education Counts and OpenStreetMap contributors. Requests to those services may disclose the requested location or map area and standard connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms. Public GIS datasets remain at their external sources; Buildara combines and displays the returned information. Our tools may also link to other external resources, and we are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via a notice on our website or by email.

The results are estimates based on general market data (REINZ, Cotality, Rawlinsons) and user inputs. They do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice. The GIS Map combines public and third-party data to provide indicative site screening only. Data may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular site or purpose. Map boundaries, dimensions, terrain, planning controls, infrastructure, flood, electricity, school-zone and valuation information are not a survey, title search, engineering assessment, connection approval, planning or building consent, enrolment determination, valuation, or confirmation that a site is suitable for development. You must verify current information with the relevant authority, data provider and qualified professionals before relying on it for purchase, design, finance, construction, enrolment or consent decisions. Third-party data remains subject to its source terms and licences, and no provider endorsement of Buildara is implied.
To access features that require an account, you must sign in with a verified email address. We use that email to send requested sign-in links and to associate your saved quote history with your account. You are responsible for the security of your device and active sign-in session.
All content, design, branding (Buildara NZ™), and underlying code are owned by Buildara NZ Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without explicit written permission. However, you are free to use the calculators for personal or internal business projects.
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Buildara NZ Limited shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service, including inaccurate calculations, financial losses, or project delays. The tools are provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Buildara NZ Limited does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices or availability of third-party services.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Auckland, New Zealand.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced via email or site notice.
